Supplier-product-combinations (SPCs)

SecureFeed participants may only purchase Supplier Product Combinations (SPCs or LPC's in Dutch) that have been approved by SecureFeed. Participants register their suppliers and the specific product they want to purchase from the supplier (the SPC) in the database. SecureFeed evaluates the registered SPCs according to a fixed procedure.

  • Is the supplier known or unknown in the database?

  • Does the product fall into the risk category low, medium or high?

  • Is it a processed or unprocessed product?

For processed (and certain unprocessed) Medium and High risk products, a Feed Safety Data Sheet (FSDS) is mandatory. This FSDS is completed by the supplier of the product.
At the bottom of this page, you can download an empty format of the FSDS to send to your supplier. Here you will also find instructions on how to complete the FSDS.
For medium- and high-risk products requiring an FSDS, which are purchased from another SecureFeed participant, the FSDS requirement does not apply.

Certain products are also subject to specific product requirements (SPR). These conditions outline additional requirements that certain products must meet, as defined by SecureFeed. For example, fish and by-products may not originate from protected areas, required documentation and monitoring for fats and oils specifically, and monitoring and a positive release for egg products.
Suppliers are also audited on these SPR. More information on SPR can be found here.
