Rejected shipments
In addition to signals, alerts and emergencies for exceeding an action or rejection limit or a threat to feed and/or food safety, there is also the option to report a rejected shipment. SecureFeed participants are required to report deviations in rejected loads if feed or food safety is at stake.
A rejected shipment must be reported when:
The batch does not meet the GMP+ conditions.
Feed or food safety is at stake.
The batch does not meet the legal requirements.
The maximum content of chemical impurities and/or processing aids as stated in the EU Feed Materials Catalog as the maximum content for the product in question has been exceeded. If the Catalog does not state specific maximum contents for chemical impurities and processing aids, the maximum content is 0.1%.
Rejected shipments must be reported in the SecureFeed database.
The 'International Database Transport (for) Feed' (IDTF) is available to check the cleaning regime (of previous freights). IDTF is an international database where you can find the cleaning regime of loading compartments. In addition, the database contains information about permitted disinfectants in different countries.
