Monitoring

Monitoring of animal feed (raw materials) for contaminants from the risk classification is an important part of the SecureFeed assurance system.
The monitoring is laid down in the SecureFeed Monitoring Plan for Animal Feed, which is calculated based on:
the risk classification of the animal feed,
the reported tonnages of animal feed that the participants will supply (or are going to supply).
The SecureFeed Monitoring Plan for Animal Feed states when and how many samples of a certain (raw material of) animal feed must be taken. Participants can download the complete SecureFeed Monitoring Plan for Animal Feed here.
Each participant receives an individual monitoring plan via the SecureFeed database. By participating in the SecureFeed Monitoring Plan for Animal Feed, participants automatically fulfill the monitoring requirements of GMP+ International. Based on developments and changes in the sector, the SecureFeed Monitoring Plan for Animal Feed will be revised as needed.
Additional monitoring plans
In addition to the SecureFeed Monitoring Plan for Animal Feed, SecureFeed has several supplementary monitoring plans. Some of these are mandatory for participants, while others are voluntary.
The supplementary monitoring plans are:
Supplementary monitoring plans | |
---|---|
Verification Aflatoxin B1 Dairy Cattle Feeds | Mandatory for all producers of dairy cattle feeds |

Collective Monitoring Mycotoxins New Harvest Cereals | Voluntary |
More information on supplementary monitoring plans is available to participants in the SecureFeed Quality Manual.
Analysis results
The results of these monitoring plans are reported back (aggregated and anonymised) to SecureFeed participants and shared with supply chain parties.
